Russia attacked Ukraine with 224 drones during the day, mostly targeting Kyiv

Russia targeted Ukraine with 224 attack UAVs during the day on 29 August. Most of the drones were heading toward Kyiv.

Quote: "During the day on 29 August (from 06:30 to 18:00), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 224 attack UAVs (most of which were jet-powered). The enemy directed the vast majority of the drones towards the capital of Ukraine.
Early reports indicate that air defence forces shot down/jammed 199 attack UAVs during the day."
Details: The Air Force reports that as of 18:20, up to 10 Russian attack drones are still being observed in Ukrainian airspace.
As of 18:40, another air-raid warning was issued in Kyiv due to the threat of attack UAVs.
Background:
- A drone crashed in Kyiv's Obolonskyi district on the afternoon of 29 August, damaging a café and killing a two-year-old girl. Another drone struck a non-residential building in the capital's Podilskyi district. Several people were also reported to have been injured.
- The number of people injured in Kyiv as a result of Russian UAV attacks on 29 August later rose to eight. A second strike hit a non-residential building in the capital.
