A car belonging to Dmytro Nieielov, the first deputy head of the Olenivka penal colony, exploded in occupied Donetsk on the night of 28-29 August. Nieielov has been involved in the torture, beating and humiliation of Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilians.

Details: According to early reports from Censor.NET, an explosive device had been planted under the car. Nieielov's condition is currently unknown.

A UP source has confirmed that Nieielov's car was targeted in an explosion in Donetsk.

In spring 2026, Nieielov was served in absentia with a notice of suspicion by the Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General's Office with respect to war crimes.
