Russians attack checkpoint on border with Moldova: two killed, operations halted

Russian forces have attacked the Starokozache international border crossing in Odesa Oblast on the border with Moldova, killing two people. The crossing is temporarily closed.

Quote from the State Border Guard Service: "Russia attacked the Starokozache international road border crossing on the border with Moldova with UAVs overnight. The drones hit the border crossing's infrastructure and the surrounding area, causing fires. Sadly, there were casualties among civilians who were near the checkpoint."
Details: Border guards added that the processing of people and vehicles at this border crossing is currently temporarily suspended. The Moldovan side has been informed of the situation.
Update: The State Emergency Service later added that two people had been killed and three injured in the strike on the checkpoint in Odesa Oblast.

"Buildings have been damaged, and buses, lorries and cars have been destroyed. A large-scale fire has broken out. Rescue workers evacuated 16 people from the site of the Russian strike and transported them by bus to a safe location where they could stay temporarily," the State Emergency Service said.
