Polish prosecutors say drone found on beach carried warhead

Polish prosecutors have established that a drone found on the coast of West Pomeranian Voivodeship on 14 September was carrying a fragmentation warhead along with a detonator.

Details: Early findings by prosecutors indicate that a Russian Gerbera-2 drone equipped with an explosive payload was found on the beach.

"The drone contained a fragmentation warhead along with a detonator. The warhead was successfully separated from the aircraft itself and, for safety reasons, was immediately neutralised on the beach," said Colonel Bartosz Okoniewski, prosecutor at the District Prosecutor's Office in Poznań.

The prosecutor's office is continuing its investigation into the case.
