Ukrainian defence forces units have destroyed more than 350,000 Russian drones since the beginning of 2026.

Details: The ministry said all the strikes were recorded on video in the DELTA battlefield situational awareness system. and verified by the Brave1 defence innovation cluster.
"More than 320,000 of the drones destroyed were enemy fixed-wing and multirotor UAVs brought down by unmanned systems units of the defence forces, including around 220,000 fixed-wing drones and 100,000 multirotors," the ministry said.
In addition, unmanned systems units, mobile fire groups and military aircraft shot down 31,000 Shahed-type drones.
The ministry explained that verification of strikes against Russian drones is carried out in the DELTA system. This makes it possible to track the specifics of each strike and scale up effective solutions more quickly.
The ministry noted that the destruction of Russian fixed-wing UAVs makes it harder for the Russians to conduct reconnaissance in Ukraine's rear, carry out strikes and adjust long-range attacks. Meanwhile, Russian forces primarily use multirotors to locate and strike Ukrainian positions and equipment on the front line.
Background: As of 11 August, Ukrainian forces had downed more than 260,000 Russian UAVs since the beginning of 2026. At the time, the figure included around 195,000 fixed-wing drones and 66,000 multirotors.
