Rubio predicts how Russia's war against Ukraine will end

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said there is currently no energy truce agreement between Ukraine and Russia and that the war will not end with a "military victory" for either side, but "through a negotiated deal".

Details: Rubio noted that there is currently no energy agreement between Ukraine and Russia, but said that "this war is not good for either side".

Quote: "So it makes all the sense in the world to stop it. But unfortunately, in foreign policy and in matters such as this, sometimes what makes sense isn't necessarily what happens.

So what the President [Donald Trump] has said is we're going to continue to be in a position to – wherever there's an opportunity for us to make a difference and bridge the divide between these two sides, the President's ready to do it. And we're going to keep trying to do it."

Details: Rubio also said that Russia's war against Ukraine will not end with a military victory for either side, but through negotiations.

Quote: "It's not going to end through some overwhelming military victory by one side or the other. It will end through a negotiated deal.

And the sooner that happens, the less people have to die and the less destruction there's going to be."
