US weapons supplies to Ukraine via PURL continue – NATO source

A source has told European Pravda that US weapons and ammunition supplies to Ukraine through the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) mechanism are continuing, despite US President Donald Trump's demands that Kyiv stop striking Russian oil refineries and reports that PURL could be suspended as a means of pressuring Ukraine.

Details: NATO confirmed that the mechanism for supporting Ukraine via PURL continues to operate despite Trump's remarks.
"Support for Ukraine via PURL continues to arrive," the NATO official stated.
The source provided no other information regarding the long- and medium-term plans for the PURL mechanism.
Background:
- European media outlets previously reported that Trump's administration is threatening to halt the PURL procurement system, which enables Kyiv's allies to procure US weapons for Ukraine, in order to force Ukraine to stop its strikes on Russian energy infrastructure.
- European Pravda reported that Trump accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of being unwilling to end the war and said "it's time for Ukraine to get a new president".
- This occurred after Trump announced an agreement with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin regarding the supply of Russian diesel fuel to the US and global markets.
- Following this, Zelenskyy stated that President Trump's decision to unilaterally lift sanctions on Russia and allow it to export diesel fuel is "unfair and dishonest".
