Occupiers kidnap 6 employees and volunteers from Bucha City Council. Now they are free

Russian invaders have kidnapped 6 people in the Bucha City Council building who were assisting residents until recently. Among the captives are city council staff and volunteers.

UPD: At noon on March 16, the Bucha City Council announced that it had verified information that all the hostages had been released.

According to the City Council
: "On the evening of 15 March, the Russian invaders carried out a raid on Bucha Town Council's administrative building and captured our employees and volunteers, who were helping the residents of our town to the very end under shelling."

Details: The Russian invaders have taken the following people captive:

  • Dmytro Oleksandrovych Gapchenko (the business manager of the Buchany City Council);
  • Leonid Efimovich Cherkassky;
  • Mykolai Volodymyrovych Tsyhan;
  • Anatoliy Viktorovych Yushchenko;
  • Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Umanets (security);
  • Serhiy Oleksandrovych Matyuk.

The Russians reportedly threw away the prisoners' passports and other documents as they were leaving.

Bucha Town Council has urged the presidential office, the minister for reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories, Iryna Vereshchuk, and the Kyiv regional military administration leadership to help release these people.
