According to Zadorenko: "Fighting continues in the community, affecting local residents. During the day on 16 March, the occupying army heavily shelled the residential neighbourhoods in the village of Slatyne. Two village residents were killed, five more were heavily injured.

In the evening the shelling of Derhachi intensified, destroying several residential buildings. There is information about at least one victim in the town."

Details: Zadorenko said that some residents of Derhachi who had been hiding in the basements were trapped. Rescuers are currently removing the rubble to rescue them.

He also noted that Derhachiv Central Hospital was working despite the shelling, and on 16 March it received a shipment of important medication. Volunteers continue to deliver food to Derhachi, as well as to the villages of Boliboky, Yemtsi, Zamirtsi, Masliyi, and Bilashi, and to the Bezrukivsky, Slatysky, and Prudyansky districts.

Utility service workers are restoring communications in Derhachi and in the wider district.
