Debris of the collapsed theatre in Mariupol cannot be cleared due to Russian shelling

Russian troops have dropped two powerful bombs on the theatre building in Mariupol where around 800 people were sheltering.

According to Azov: "Ukrainian Security Service officers that made an attempt to rescue the civilians trapped under the debris of the collapsed Mariupol theatre have been stopped by the enemy shelling.

Besides having dropped two powerful bombs on the building where civilians were hiding, they also prevent the rescue of those who are trapped under the rubble."

Details: According to a witness who was preparing food for the people sheltering in the theatre, nearly 800 civilians were in the building. According to her, around 100 people fled the explosion, while others ended up under the rubble.

The witness said that people were hiding in the basement under the stage. The Russian bomb hit the stage itself.

Andriy Biletsky, leader of the rightwing National Corps party, noted that Mariupol’s defence efforts are beyond human capabilities.

According to Biletsky: "The city does not motivational images on social media, it needs real help. Mariupol has to be de-blockaded."
