"I would like to clearly stress: Poland does not plan to join the war. Please do not have such fears, and do not listen to the information claiming that we are preparing something out there, and that we want to join the war, and that right now we are sending Polish troops or that Poland wants to send its combat weapons to war," said Duda.

He said that he believes that Polish soldiers would not have to fight.

"Of course, if we need to defend our country, we will defend it. But there is no indication that we will be attacked," said the Polish President.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz ruled out NATO’s participation in the war led by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

It is worth noting that former President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė called on the North Atlantic Alliance to join the war fighting alongside Ukraine, which is defending its independence
