Details: Russia’s State Duma has proposed to force those prosecuted into military service in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, whose "independence" was recognised by Russia.

The explanatory note said that the protesters were "spreading false information about the operation" [the Russian Federation is calling the war with Ukraine a ‘special operation’], and "discrediting"  Russian military and political leadership. The authors of the initiative also do not like the fact that people at anti-war rallies are in favour of sanctions against Russia, "that is, in fact, oppose the establishment of peace in the Donbas."

"According to members of parliament, such people should see with their own eyes what ‘the Kyiv Regime’ has done in this area."
