According to the Ministry of Defence: "The Armed Forces and units of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine are fighting fierce battles to maintain the lines of defence. The enemy is suffering losses and trying to avoid being in our troops’ direct line of fire."

"The enemy is trying not to lose offensive potential, but is currently suffering great losses in terms of weapons, equipment, and personnel.

Due to the resistance of the entire Ukrainian people, the enemy has been demoralised.

The reserve troops of the Russian occupiers, who are arriving to replenish units, are in an extremely low moral and psychological state, due to awareness of the real state of affairs."

Details: Defence forces are conducting a defence operation within the Southern, Eastern and Northern operational zones to repel the attack of the occupying forces. They are inflicting maximum losses on the Russian occupying forces, preventing their further invasion, maintaining control of the state territory, and creating favourable conditions for the defeat of the Russian troops and the restoration of control over the lost territories. Ukrainian troops are also fending off attacks from the air.

The joint forces are conducting a defence operation in the eastern part of the Donetsk operational district. Most efforts are focused on defending the city of Mariupol and inflicting losses on the overwhelming forces of the Russian forces.

Other units of Ukraine’s Armed Forces are conducting a defensive operation on the Slobozhansky front and in the eastern part of the Tavriya front.

In particular, units of Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces have stopped enemy columns trying to advance towards the Dnipropetrovsk region from Balaklia.

An operation to defend the city of Chernihiv is underway in the Siversky region.

On the Volyn front, measures are being taken to prepare a defence line along the state border of Ukraine.

On the coastal front, Ukrainian troops are defending bases and ports on the Black Sea. In the Mykolayiv area, the capture of a considerable number of armoured vehicles and automobile equipment of the Russian troops was planned and executed.

On other fronts, units and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting a stabilisation operation and performing territorial defence tasks in order to prevent offensive actions and activities of the Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has focused its efforts on fending off missile and air strikes, and providing air cover to critically important objects and groups of troops.

In total, as of now, Russian occupation forces have lost 88 aeroplanes and helicopters.

Some Russian pilots who ejected from their planes and survived were found by Ukrainian soldiers. They have received medical treatment and are already testifying about the Putin regime's crimes against humanity.
