After the Russian missile strike on the Kramatorsk train station in the Donetsk region, fewer people want to evacuate from the Luhansk region, despite the fact that many children remain there.

According to Haidai: "Nearly 9,000 local residents remain in bomb shelters in the region’s villages and towns. We urge them to leave every day. Fewer people are willing to evacuate in the wake of the Kramatorsk tragedy. There are still a lot of children."

Details: Haidai said that on Tuesday over 300 people were evacuated from the region.

"Today together with Patrol Police and volunteers we managed to convince and evacuate 107 residents from Kreminna, 115 from Lysychansk, around 60 from the Hirske hromada (where for a few days it was impossible to evacuate anyone due to shelling), 12 from Popasna, and 47 from Sievierodonetsk," he reported.

Several tonnes of humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and hygiene products, have been delivered for the residents who remain in these towns and cities.

The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration once again urged the region’s residents to evacuate.

"Think about your own safety! If we lose you, what are we fighting for?!" Haidai asked.

He noted that evacuation buses are waiting for people every morning.
