Details: Ivashchenko noted that according to the Defence Forces, the positions of border guards in the Snovsk Territorial Community were shelled. And although he said the shelling was rather intended to "alarm", he urged residents of the region to be attentive about air raid sirens and stay close to shelters.

The press service of the State Border Guard Service has confirmed this information to Ukrainska Pravda.

Quote by Demchenko: "Indeed, this morning, Russian troops fired on the territory near the settlement of Senkivka in the Chernihiv region from the territory of the Russian Federation. Mortars were fired twice within a certain time interval. There were no casualties among the border guards who served in the area.

I will note, as we have already reported, the enemy does not abandon provocative actions in the areas where the Defence Forces of Ukraine expelled him from our state. This includes the opening of fire from the territory of Russia, as well as baseless and unsubstantiated accusations that our defenders allegedly fired [at Russian territory] from Ukrainian territory. "

Previously: the head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Serhii Deineko stressed that there was a danger of Russian shelling the territories near the border with Russia, which are being regained by Ukrainian border guards.

On 13 April, Russian forces were observed opening fire on the Chernihiv region from their Pohar checkpoint with grenade launchers and small arms.
