Luhansk Military Administration: Parts of Luhansk region will remain without electricity, gas, or water until war is over

Serhii Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said that the supply of electricity, gas, and water cannot be restored in Popasna, Rubizhne, and a number of villages in the Luhansk region, until the war is over.

According to Haidai: "Electricity, gas, and water supply cannot be restored in Popasna, Rubizhne, and some of the villages in the Hirske hromada – the infrastructure there is almost completely destroyed.

It is currently impossible to tally up the losses incurred by the towns and villages currently occupied by the enemy army. Russians are destroying substations and pumping stations, capturing towns and villages – and then they can’t fix anything there. ‘Russian peace’ deprives the local residents of gas, water, and electricity; they had to live the last month and a half like most Russians have lived their entire lives. Yesterday, for example, the enemy damaged a high-voltage 300 kV line. The damage is pretty severe – there is no electricity in over 200 temporarily occupied towns and villages.

Electricity, gas, and water supply cannot be restored in Popasna, Rubizhne, and some of the villages in the Hirske hromada, all of which are still controlled by Ukraine – there the infrastructure is almost completely destroyed. It cannot be repaired until the end of hostilities."

Background: Russian troops are attempting to storm Sievierodonetsk and Popasna in the Luhansk regions.
