The Russian army fired on Popasna: 2 dead

Two people were killed and another was injured in Russian shelling of Popasna in the Luhansk region.

Haidai's quote: "On 22 April the Russian army fired on the residential area of the Luhansk region 12 times.

Popasna bore the brunt of this. In the evening, a 66-year-old man was killed and his wife was injured. Also in this city one more person sustained life-threatening injuries ".

Details: The head of the region said that street fights have been going on in Popasna for several weeks now. Also, the Russian army is constantly shelling residential buildings and private houses in the city. On 22 April, locals withstood five artillery attacks by the Russian occupying forces.

As a result of the shelling, houses in Popasna, Lysychansk and Novodruzhesk have been destroyed.

According to Haidai, the Russian army is advancing along the entire front line. But it is concentrating its main efforts on offensive operations on the Sievierodonetsk front, shelling Ukrainian troops intensively to displace them.

Also, according to Haidai, the offensive on the Novotoshkivske front and assault operations in the Rubizhne area continue.

Defenders repulsed eight Russian attacks and destroyed 9 tanks, 18 units of armoured vehicles and 13 units of automotive equipment, a fuel tanker and 3 artillery systems over the last 24 hour in the Donbas.
