Details: The head of the region confirmed that as a result of the today’s missile attack by Russian troops, the runway of  "Odesa" airport was destroyed.

Marchenko also said that anti-sabotage measures are being taken in Odesa Oblast in order to ensure maximum safety for the residents during a long curfew.

Background: By the decision of local authorities, a long curfew in Odesa will be introduced from 22:00 on 1 May and will end at 05:00 on 3 May.

A Reminder: On 2 May, 2014, in Odesa, there were clashes between "supporters of federalisation" from the so-called Atimaidan and "supporters of unity" (Euromaidan), which claimed the lives of 48 people (forty men, seven women and one minor). Many of these died in a fire in the local House of Trade Unions. Putin regime propaganda is concentrating its efforts on promoting the line that on that day "Ukrainian Nazis burned alive several dozen opponents of the Kyiv regime in the House of Trade Unions."
