Residents of Russian-occupied Melitopol distribute pro-Ukraine posters

The resistance movement in the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol is putting up pro-Ukraine posters across the city.

Details: Residents of Melitopol told reporters that unknown people have put up posters with pro-Ukraine slogans on walls and lampposts in Gorkiy municipal Park.

According to eyewitnesses, these posters cheer up Melitopol’s citizens under the Russian occupation.

Background:

• On 29 April Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol, said that Russian occupiers kidnap people from the city’s streets more and more often. He noted that it is no longer safe for civilians to move about the city.
• Earlier, Ukrainian intelligence reported that guerrilla fighters killed nearly 70 Russian soldiers in Melitopol.
