652 children have suffered at hands of occupying forces in Ukraine, 229 of them died

As a result of Russia's armed aggression in Ukraine, at least 652 children have been injured; over the past 24 hours the number of deaths has not changed - 229; at the same time, the number of injured children has increased.

These figures are not final, since work is underway to evaluate them in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories."

Details: Most of the children suffered in Donetsk Oblast (140), Kyiv Oblast (116), Kharkiv Oblast (100), Chernihiv Oblast (68), Kherson Oblast (48), Luhansk Oblast (47), Mykolaiv Oblast (44), Zaporizhzhia Oblast (28), Sumy Oblast (17), Zhytomyr Oblast (15) and the city of Kyiv (16).

In particular, on 16 May, as a result of an enemy missile attack on tourist infrastructure facilities in the Belgorod-Dniester district of the Odesa region, a girl was injured.

And on 15 May, a teenager was wounded as a result of shelling by Russian troops in Lysychansk, Luhansk Oblast.

As a result of the bombing and shelling of Ukrainian towns and villages by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, 1,772 educational institutions have been damaged, of which 161 have been completely destroyed.
