Number of Ukrainian children wounded by Russian troops increased to 430

According to official data from prosecutors of offences against minors, at least 232 children have been killed and 430 have been wounded as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression in Ukraine.

Details: On 20 May, the Russian military launched a missile strike on the cultural centre in the city of Lozova, Kharkiv oblast. Seven civilians, including an 11-year-old girl, were injured as a result of this attack.

On 19 May, a 13-year-old girl was injured due to shelling in the village of Velyki Khutory in Kupiansk district, Kharkiv Oblast.

On 18 May, Russian troops fired on a car carrying volunteers in the city of Sievierodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast. A 17-year-old boy was injured.

As of the morning of 21 May, at least 662 children have been killed or injured due to the war in Ukraine. These data are not final, work is ongoing to collect data in places with active hostilities and in the temporarily occupied territories and liberated territories.

Most of the children affected are in the following oblasts (regions): Donetsk - 145, Kyiv - 116, Kharkiv - 102, Chernihiv - 68, Kherson - 48, Luhansk - 48, Mykolaiv - 45, Zaporizhzhia - 28, Sumy - 17, Zhytomyr - 15. 16 minors have been injured in the capital city Kyiv
