On 26 May, a Russian shell exploded at a school in Mariupol, killing a 12-year-old boy.

Details: The mayor's adviser added that Russian weapons continue to kill children in Mariupol even after active operations.

He urged adults to be careful and cautious and to remind children every day not to touch suspicious, unfamiliar objects, especially those that look like shells, missiles and other weapons.

Background: 

As of 26 May, more than 676 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation; at least 240 children have been killed and more than 436 injured.
