Russians hit Kharkiv with missiles and conduct combat reconnaissance near Dolyna

Missile attacks on Kharkiv have partially destroyed a school and a residential building, while one person was killed and one injured in Pechenihy as a result of shelling, and the Russians conducted combat reconnaissance in the Dolyna area.

Quote from Syniehubov: "Overnight, Kharkiv Defence Headquarters recorded missile strikes in the Osnovianskyi and Slobidskyi districts.

At 03:30, as a result of the impact, the 2nd and 3rd floors of an educational institution were partially destroyed. There were no fatalities or injuries.

A minute later, a missile strike destroyed part of a residential building with 6 apartments. There were no fatalities, a 62-year-old man was hospitalised, and his condition is moderate."

Details: Suspilne reported that Russian troops destroyed a school in the Slobidskyi District of Kharkiv with a missile strike on the night of 9-10 July, and damaged a house and a children’s sanatorium in the city’s Osnovianskyi Distric.

Overall, over the past 24 hours, the invaders shelled the Izium, Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv districts of the oblast. 

In the Izium district, Donetsk community, open areas caught fire three times due to shelling. One 48-year-old man was hospitalised.

In the Chuhuiv district, as a result of shelling outside the settlement, grass and coniferous litter burned, as well as a field with wheat over an area of 0.1 hectares.

A private dwelling in the village of Pechenihy caught fire at 21:00 as a result of shelling. A 20-year-old woman was killed. A 42-year-old woman was injured and hospitalised.

There were also fires in open areas and warehouses in the Bohodukhiv and Kharkiv districts.

Quote from Syniehubov: "Fighting in Kharkiv Oblast continues. Our fighters are holding their positions on all fronts. The Russians are trying to prevent the advance of Ukrainian troops and gain a foothold at their positions.

The occupiers conducted combat reconnaissance in the Dolyna district, but had no success and withdrew."

Reminder: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning that Russian forces had launched a missile strike on the city of Kharkiv with 9K720 Iskander cruise missiles from the territory in Belgorod Oblast [of Russia - ed.].
