SSU detain traitor in Odesa for reconnoitring positions of anti-ship complexes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine [SSU] has detained an agent recruited by the Russian special services, whose task was to determine the location and movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, anti-ship complexes and air defence systems in the Black Sea regions of Ukraine.

Quote: "According to the investigation, the traitor was recruited by a representative of the special services of the Russian Federation to carry out subversion activities in Odesa. They used a specially created anonymous Telegram channel to communicate with each other."

Details: The Russians planned to use the obtained coordinates for a series of missile strikes in the south. The traitor received tasks and "reported" on their execution to his "handler".

The traitor had to transfer the positions of the Ukrainian defence forces in the form of photographs and electronic maps with geolocation marks. He also had to form an extensive spy network for intelligence activities in the south.

A mobile terminal with evidence of illegal activity, including secret correspondence with the occupiers, was found on the detainee.

Previously: On 7 July, the Security Service of Ukraine reported that it had neutralised an agent of the FSB of the Russian Federation who was preparing to correct spot missile strikes on Mykolaiv.
