Captured Russian Pantsir fights for Ukraine, takes out first target

A Russian Pantsir-S1, captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is already fighting on the side of Ukraine and has destroyed the first enemy target.

Quote: "Our anti-aircraft fighters are successfully operating captured equipment. The Russian Pantsir-S1self-propelled missile and anti-aircraft artillery system, captured by the Ukrainian military in battle, is already on combat duty with the domestic air defence forces.

Its automatic guns are suitable for the 30-millimetre projectiles which we have in service.

Now this Russian "Pantsir" is fighting on the side of Ukraine and has already shot down its first enemy target, says the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yurii Ihnat.

The captured equipment will provide cover for civilian and military facilities facing the Russian occupiers’ air attack equipment.
