Ukrainian Armed Forces drive Russian troops back on Sloviansk front – General Staff report

Russian forces have made an unsuccessful attempt to conduct an assault operation in order to improve their tactical positions in the areas around Mazanivka, Ivanivka and Dolyna on the Sloviansk front. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled the assault and drove the Russians back.

Details: Also on the Sloviansk front, Russian occupying forces fired on the areas around the towns and villages of Chepil, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Barvinkove, Dibrovne, Mazanivka, Bohorodychne and Adamivka using tubed artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS).

Russian artillery also fired on the areas near Starodubivka, Maiaky, Raihorodok, Siversk, Kryva Luka, Donetske, Verkhnokamianske and Spirne. Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike near Serebrianka.

The situation remains stable on the Volyn, Polissia and Sivershchyna fronts. On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces used rocket artillery to fire on the village of Starykove in Sumy Oblast.

On the Kharkiv front, Russian artillery and MLRS fired on the city of Kharkiv and on the towns and villages of Ruski Tyshky, Bezruky, Dementiivka, Lisne, Slatyne, Prudianka and Zolochiv.

Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled a Russian assault towards Dementiivka.

Russian forces are trying to improve their tactical positions on the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka fronts and are exerting systematic fire on the positions of Ukrainian troops along the entire frontline. Russian aircraft have been actively deployed on these fronts. In addition, the Russians are carrying out combat engineering tasks in order to reinforce their positions in some parts of these fronts. 

On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces used tanks, as well as tubed and rocket artillery, to fire on the areas around Yakovlivka, Berestove, Pokrovske, Soledar, Bilohorivka, Vershyna, Novoluhanske, Kodema, Bakhmut and Vesela Dolyna and conducted airstrikes in the vicinity of Berestove, Bilohorivka and Vershyna.

On the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russian occupying forces fired artillery on the areas around Avdiivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Novoselivka, Opytne, Novobakhmutivka, Vuhledar, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Male Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Stepove and Kamianske. Two Russian Su-25 jets conducted an airstrike near Novoandriivka.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian troops are focusing their main efforts on maintaining their previously occupied positions and preventing a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Russians used tubed artillery to fire on the areas around Stepova Dolyna, Lupareve, Nova Zoria, Novohryhorivka, Liubomyrivka, Osokorivka, Olhyne, Velyka Kostromka, Karierne, Ternivka, Poliana, Kyselivka, Pervomaiske, Shevchenkove, Posad-Pokrovske, Ukrainka and Prybuzke. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes near Zarichne.

Russia maintains naval missile carriers (equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles) on standby in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas.
