Quote from Ministry of Internal Affairs: "Currently, about 10 new criminal proceedings are entered into the registry every day, and there are more than 900 of them in total. Among the most common manifestations of such activity are assistance to the Russian army, the spread of Russian propaganda, and voluntary participation in the occupation authorities."

Details: A total of 163 persons have been brought to justice. However, most of the suspects are currently in the temporarily occupied territories, so sentencing takes place in absentia.

Background: On 3 March, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a number of military laws, including voting for draft laws No. 5143 and No. 5144 on the fight against collaborationism. In particular, criminal liability has been introduced for cooperation with Russia, the occupation administration and/or its armed or paramilitary formations.

On 14 April, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted, with changes, draft law No. 7186, which provides for increased criminal liability for collaborationist activities.
