Number of children killed by Russians has risen again - now stands at 344

As of the morning of 2 July, more than 984 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation, 344 of whom have been killed.

Quote from the Prosecutor General's Office: "According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 344 children have been killed and more than 640 injured.

These figures are not final, as work is ongoing to establish them in places where active hostilities are taking place, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories."

Details: The largest number of child casualties has been recorded in Donetsk (340), Kharkiv (185), Kyiv (116), Chernihiv (68), Luhansk (61), Mykolaiv (53), Kherson (52) and Zaporizhzhia (31) oblasts.

In particular, the number of children killed and injured as a result of the Russian missile attack on the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of the Odesa region on 1 July has increased.

During the day, 1 more child was reported dead and 3 wounded (a 2-year-old girl and two boys aged 8 and 13). The condition of the two children is extremely serious.

On 1 July, an 11-year-old boy was injured as a result of a Russian airstrike on civilian infrastructure in Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast.

It also became known that a 9-year-old child had been injured as a result of missile attacks by Russian armed forces on 27 June at the Amstor shopping centre in Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast. 

2,102 educational institutions have been damaged due to bombardment and shelling by the Russian armed forces, 215 of which have been completely destroyed.
