Details: The suspects had revealed the coordinates of the city’s infrastructure facilities and collected information about the deployment and movement of Armed Forces of Ukraine units in the region.

The agents had also attempted to obtain the identification data of Ukrainian defenders, including Security Service employees.

According to Dekhtiarenko, the aggressors planned to use this information to carry out a series of rocket attacks on Bakhmut and conduct sabotage against the Defence Forces near the eastern front.

SBU employees established the informants’ location and detained them. They seized their means of communication, which contained evidence of criminal acts. One of the suspects had an AK-74 Kalashnikov assault rifle.

The three detainees have been notified of the suspicion, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being addressed.

In addition, the SBU said another accomplice of the occupiers has been exposed in Donetsk Oblast. He turned out to be an engineer at a strategically important plant.

According to the investigation, he gave the invaders information about the positions of the Defence Forces of Ukraine in the east of Ukraine.

For reference: It is indicated that the measures taken to expose these criminals were carried out by SBU officers in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts working together with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police, the State Border Guard Service, the National Guard, and the Military Law and Order Service.
