Powerful explosion in occupied Melitopol – mayor

Ivan Fedorov, mayor of occupied Melitopol, reported that at about 09:15 a powerful explosion thundered in the town.

Quote from Fedorov: "Just now: one loud explosion in the microdistrict of Melitopol, in one of the yards of Hohol street. According to the residents, ambulance cars came to the microdistrict after the explosion."

Details: According to previous data, the hand-made explosive device went off. Fedorov also added that the resistance movement closely follows the collaborators and "knows everyone by face".

The mayor promised to provide the detailed information later.

• In July, an attempt to assassinate a Russian collaborator was reported in Russian-occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
• In May, the Ukrainian resistance movement managed to blow up a Russian armoured train in occupied Melitopol as it was transporting soldiers and equipment.
