Quote from Kuleba: "The next vessels with Ukrainian grain are loaded and ready for departure.

If Russia fulfils its obligations under the UN-brokered grain initiative, they will reach foreign buyers and help reduce food prices and prevent starvation."

Background:

On the morning of 1 August, Ukraine’s Minister of Infrastructure announced that the RAZONI ship under the flag of Sierra-Leone with 26 thousand tonnes of Ukrainian corn had left Odesa.

This is the first time since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion that a grain carrier has left the port of Odesa. This was made possible by the agreements reached in Istanbul with the mediation of Turkey and the United Nations.

Representatives of Ukraine, Turkey, the United Nations and Russia have completed an inspection of the first grain vessel that left Ukraine on 1 August at the Joint Coordination Centre.
