Police and CEC in every home: the collaborator told how referendum will be held in Zaporizhzhia

During the so-called referendum in the occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, "teams" of Central Election Commission members and police officers will go to the homes of residents.

Quote from Balytskyi: "Voting will be held from Friday (23 September — ed.), ballots will be distributed to people who live in the territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, liberated from Nazism, at their addresses.

Many will be visited by our team of people, which will consist of commission members, of course, accompanied by police officers, so that there are no incidents, and people will be offered to vote by address.

Quote: As the collaborator said, in this way, the occupiers allegedly plan to "protect residents from gatherings in places where the Nazis can launch a rocket attack or plant explosive devices."

Balytskyi added that those who, for some reason, will not be able to vote during the door-to-door visits, will be able to vote at polling stations.

Background:

  • On 19 September, the so-called Public Chambers of "LPR" and "DPR" (self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic and Donetsk People’s Republic, accordingly) demanded an immediate launch of illegal referendums on their recognition as federal entities (subjects) of the Russian Federation.
  • Following the Russian-sponsored militants in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, Russian invaders in Kherson Oblast have called for an urgent "referendum" on merging with the Russian Federation.
  • The so-called "People’s Council of Luhansk People’s Republic" is planning to hold a pseudo-referendum in Luhansk Oblast from 23 to 27 September.
  • Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President, called Russia’s attempts to hold the so-called referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine an act of blackmail.
  • Furthermore, the Office of the President has once again assured Russia and its accomplices in the occupied territories of Ukraine that pseudo-referendums won’t give them the opportunity to legalise the occupation of Ukrainian territories.
  • 77% of Ukrainians consider the return of all territories under Ukraine's control until 2014, including Donbass and Crimea, to be the only acceptable option for peace, and another 11% of respondents call such an option for achieving peace "rather acceptable."
