Quote: "More of our people have returned home. Another round of exchange of prisoners of war has taken place. 6 people have returned to Ukraine, four marines and two civilians: Oleksii Bulakhov and Mykola Kostenko, the officers, Liudmyla Herasymenko and Ivan Zemlianoi, the soldiers, [and] Viktoriia Andrusha and Yana Maiboroda, the civilians.

Every one of them has their own story.

For instance, Viktoriia Andrusha was kidnapped from home by Russian soldiers on 27 March because they found the information about Russian military equipment in her cellphone, which she had passed to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then she was taken to Russia and held in a correctional facility in Kursk.

Yana Maiboroda was captured because Russians found photos of Russian military equipment in the Chornobyl exclusion zone on her phone.

The liberated soldiers took part in battles for Mariupol".

Details: Yermak reported that Ukraine continues to conduct such exchange procedures and expressed his gratitude to the Coordinative Staff on treating the prisoners of war. This month, 235 liberated Ukrainians returned home.

Background:
