Quote from Budanov: "Currently, there is no reason to believe that a nuclear strike will be carried out on the territory of Ukraine in the near future."

Details: He also added that Ukrainians should not be afraid of mobilisation in Russia either, because in fact "it is a gift" for Ukraine, because "it will only speed up the process that cannot be stopped. It is his (Russian President Vladimir Putin - ed.) agony."

  • On 30 September, the Kremlin said that they "do not want to develop the topic" of nuclear escalation, and avoided answering the question of whether they would consider the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the occupied territories that the Russian Federation is preparing to annex as an "attack on Russia."
