An accomplice of the Russian invaders reported that an explosion occurred in the centre of occupied Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Russian media specified that a car that belonged to Artem Bardin, the so-called "commandant" of the city was blown up.

According to Rohov, the circumstances of the incident are being clarified. He promised to release the details later.

According to RIA Novosti, a car belonging to the so-called "commandant of the city" was blown up in Berdiansk. It is noted that after the explosion, there was a shootout.

Later, Rohov confirmed that information. According to him, Bardin was taken to a hospital in severe condition.

The explosion also damaged three civilian cars; there were no people inside.

The collaborator also specified that the sounds that resembled shooting, something that Berdiansk residents heard after the car exploded, were actually the sounds of ammunition blowing up. 

Rohov lays the blame for the explosion on the Ukrainian defenders.

At about 16:50, Rohov reported that another explosion took place in Berdyansk, this time in the Slobidka district. According to the collaborator, fire rescue teams rushed to the site.
