Resident of Mykolaiv detained for handing over Ukrainian army positions to Russia

The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another Russian agent who had been passing the coordinates of military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Mykolaiv on to the Russian occupying forces.

Quote from the Prosecutor General’s Office: "Notice of suspicion has been issued to a resident of Mykolaiv who had been collecting and handing over information about the location of servicemen and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Mykolaiv."

Details: According to the investigation, the 62-year-old pensioner professed pro-Russian ideas and, in order to help the aggressor, had been sending location coordinates and data on the quantitative composition of military formations of the Armed Forces via a messenger app.

During the search, a mobile phone and a laptop containing evidence of illegal activity were seized from him.

The man was detained and has been charged with disseminating information about the location of Armed Forces that could identify them on the ground in conditions of martial law (Part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
