Zelenskyy asks to convene urgent meeting of G7 due to Russian Federation terrorists attacks

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that he asked the Chancellor of Germany, which currently chairs the G7, to urgently convene a meeting of the group due to Russia's massive missile strikes on Ukraine on 10 October.

Details: Zelenskyy added that he has also discussed with Scholz increasing pressure on Russia and helping to restore damaged infrastructure.

Background:

  • Several explosions rang out in the centre of Kyiv on the morning of 10 October, causing injuries and fatalities. Metro traffic on the red line has been suspended.
