Zelenskyy asks to convene urgent meeting of G7 due to Russian Federation terrorists attacks

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that he asked the Chancellor of Germany, which currently chairs the G7, to urgently convene a meeting of the group due to Russia's massive missile strikes on Ukraine on 10 October.

Details: Zelenskyy added that he has also discussed with Scholz increasing pressure on Russia and helping to restore damaged infrastructure.
Background:
- Several explosions rang out in the centre of Kyiv on the morning of 10 October, causing injuries and fatalities. Metro traffic on the red line has been suspended.
- Explosions also ring out in several other Ukrainian cities: Dnipro, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr and Lviv.
- An air-raid siren has been on throughout Ukraine since the morning of 10 October. The Russians have already struck a number of cities in a number of oblasts.
- Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that so far, on 10 October, the Russian aggressor has launched 75 missiles on Ukraine within a few hours, 41 of which were shot down by air defence.
