The Russian Federation has now lost more than 63,000 servicemen in the war against Ukraine, according to Ukrainian calculations.

Details: The General Staff noted that due to the constant arrival of updated intelligence data, there was a need to adjust some points regarding the total losses of the Russian forces.

Quote: "The figures will be adjusted and published separately during the day. Tomorrow, the losses of the enemy for the previous day will be added to the already adjusted figures. Thank you for your understanding. Now the information is published according to the usual algorithm - the losses of the enemy for the previous day will be added."

Details: Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February and 12 October 2022 are estimated to be [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses - ed.]:

  • 63,380 (+270) military personnel;
  • 2,505 (+1) tanks;
  • 5,181 (+19) armoured combat vehicles;
  • 1,507 (+11) artillery systems;
  • 355 (+2)  multiple-launch rocket systems;
  • 182 (+1) air defence systems;
  • 268 (+0)  fixed-wing aircraft;
  • 235 (+0) helicopters;
  • 1,129 (+15) operational-tactical UAVs;
  • 315 (+20) cruise missiles;
  • 15 (+0) ships/boats;
  • 3,927 (+11) vehicles and tankers;
  • 136 (+0) special vehicles and other equipment.

Russian troops have suffered their heaviest losses on the Avdiivka and Bakhmut fronts.
