Details: On 12 October, prosecutors from the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, together with the Security Service of Ukraine and police investigators, conducted an additional inspection of a convoy of cars shot by Russian military personnel in late September near the village of Kurylivka, Kupiansk Raion.

Investigators initially discovered 24 victims, including a pregnant woman and 13 children.

During an additional inspection, law enforcement officers found the 25th victim of the brutal Russian terror, a 75-year-old woman.

According to preliminary data, after the shooting of the car convoy, it appears the woman crawled about 200 metres toward the urban-type settlement of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi and died in a wooded area.

The bodies of the deceased were sent for forensic examination.

Law enforcement officers took fragments of the bodies of the victims, which will be identified later through DNA examinations. This may lead to an increase in victims of the tragedy.

Currently, measures are being taken to seize cars for further comprehensive forensic examinations.

In addition, law enforcement officers found a possible ambush location, from where Russian military personnel fired at the convoy, and documents of Russian soldiers and fragments of their uniforms.

The work of prosecutors and investigators is complicated by constant shelling by the Russian army in the specified area.

Investigative actions are carried out in the framework of criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
