Two bodies retrieved from rubble in Mykolaiv, city mayor shows destroyed house

As of 12:29, rescue workers have retrieved the bodies of a man and a woman from the rubble of a five-storey residential building in Mykolaiv; the building was destroyed by a Russian missile on the night of 12–13 October.

Quote: "The consequences of a Russian missile hitting a residential building. As of now, rescue workers have recovered the bodies of two residents killed [in the attack]: a man (31 years old) and a woman (80 years old). A search and rescue operation is underway."

Details: The mayor of Mykolaiv also shared a video of the rescue operation taking place at the destroyed building.

Background: Russian forces deployed S-300 missiles to attack the city of Mykolaiv around 01:00 on 13 October, destroying two top storeys of a five-storey building.

On the morning of 13 October, it was reported that two people sustained injuries as a result of the Russian missile strike, including an 11-year-old boy who was rescued from under the rubble. Rescue workers were still searching for another seven people at the time. The body of a civilian killed in the attack was pulled out from the rubble of the destroyed boat station.
