Village in Kyiv Oblast suffers a drone attack – General Staff report

Russia deployed kamikaze drones in an attack on the village of Nalyvaikivka in the Makariv village hromada [an administrative unit designating the village of Makariv and its adjacent territories and nearby villages - ed.] in the Bucha district (Kyiv Oblast) on Thursday, 13 October.

The Russian army deployed cruise, air-to-surface and anti-aircraft guided missiles and Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles to carry out the attacks."

Details: Over the course of today, Russian forces carried out one missile strike, 15 airstrikes, and 22 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems [MLRS].

The Russian army carried out attacks on the following fronts:

  • on the Sivershchyna front: Russian forces deployed mortars and tubed artillery to fire on areas in and around Atynske and Velyka Rybytsia;
  • on the Slobozhanshchyna front: the Russians used mortars and tubed and rocket artillery on areas in and around Hrianykivka, Hatyshche and Strilecha;
  • on the Kramatorsk front: Russian forces used tank guns and various types of  artillery to fire along the entire line of contact, in particular on the areas in the vicinity of Bilohorivka, Terny and Yampolivka;
  • on the Bakhmut front: Russian forces used tank guns, mortars, and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Zelenopillia, Soledar, Maiorsk, Ivanhrad and Yakovlivka;
  • on the Avdiivka front: the Rusisans deployed tank guns and artillery of various calibres to fire on areas in and around Marinka, Nevelske, Pervomaiske and Zolota Nyva.
  • The Russian army did not undertake offensive operations on the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, but attacked the settlements of Stepnohirsk, Orikhiv and Komyshuvakha.
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front, the Russians used MLRSs to fire rockets on the city of Nikopol.

The Russian occupiers continue to forcibly deport children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. According to the available information, about 170 children have been illegally deported from the city of Kherson since the beginning of October.

Representatives of Russian private military companies are continuing to recruit prisoners to take part in the war in Ukraine. According to the information obtained by the General Staff, 385 prisoners were recruited in correctional colony No.16 in the city of Salavat in the Republic of Bashkortostan on 11-12 October.

The Russian army is continuing to suffer losses. Ukraine’s aircraft carried out 19 airstrikes over the course of 13 October, striking more than 13 areas of concentration of Russian weapons and military equipment, as well as 6 anti-aircraft missile systems. In addition, Ukrainian air defence units shot down 8 enemy UAVs, including 6 Shahed-136 drones.

Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck 2 Russian control posts, 3 concentrations of Russian manpower, weapons and military equipment, and 2 ammunition depots.

In addition, the General Staff confirmed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck two Russian military facilities in Burchak (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) on 12 October. Russia’s losses have yet to be confirmed.

Previously: On the morning of 13 October, Oleksii Kuleba, the Head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, reported that the Russians had deployed kamikaze drones to attack Kyiv Oblast. Andrii Niebytov, the Chief of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast, reported later that kamikaze drones attacked the Makariv hromada, west of Ukraine’s capital, the city of Kyiv.
