Three people were killed in a rocket attack on an energy supply facility on Kyiv's left bank on 18 October.

Details: Two facilities suffered significant damage, the Mayor of Kyiv explained.

As of 15:05 of 18 October, city services are doing everything possible to deal with the consequences of the emergency situation.

Earlier, the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office released an early report regarding the death of 2 people and injury of 1 more.

The Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out the procedural guidance in criminal investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war, accompanied by murder (Article 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on 18 October, Russian armed forces, using modes of warfare prohibited by international law, launched a missile attack on an energy supply facility on Kyiv’s left bank.

At the scene of the incident, employees of the State Emergency Service cleared the rubble and extinguished the flames, while prosecutors, investigators and experts recorded the evidence of Russian crimes.

The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine.

Background: On the morning of October 18, the Russians launched a rocket attack on the energy infrastructure on Kyiv’s left bank.

The Executive Director of DTEK, Dmytro Sakharuk, reported that two thermal power plants (TPPs) suffered significant damage, seven people were injured and one person was killed as a result of a Russian attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure targets on 18 October.
