Details: Over the course of the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Andriivka and Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast) and Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Vremivka, Zelenopillia, Maiorsk, Soledar, Marinka, Nevelske, Novobakhmutivka, Pervomaiske and Yakovlivka (Donetsk Oblast).

Russian forces are continuing to fire on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces along the line of contact and to reinforce their defence positions on the left bank of the River Dnipro. They are also conducting extensive aerial reconnaissance.

Russian forces carried out 15 airstrikes and one missile strike, as well as over 40 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) over the course of the past 24 hours. Bilohirka, Nova Kamianka and Novohrednieve (Kherson Oblast), Stepove (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) and Marinka and Pavlivka (Donetsk Oblast) came under Russian fire.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. The Republic of Belarus is continuing to aid and support Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine by allowing Russian forces to use its territory, airspace and infrastructure. There is an ongoing threat of missile and air strikes from the territory of Belarus, including with the use of attack UAVs.

On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets:

  • On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts: Russian forces deployed various types of artillery to fire on areas in and around Boiaro-Lezhachi, Vodolahy, Hirky, Pysarivka and Ryzhivka (Sumy Oblast) and Vilkhuvatka, Vovchansk, Okhrimivka and Starytsia (Kharkiv Oblast) from the territory of the Russian Federation;
  • On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts: Russian forces deployed tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Druzheliubivka and Petro-Ivanivka (Kharkiv Oblast), Zarichne and Yampolivka (Donetsk Oblast) and Makiivka and Nevske (Luhansk Oblast);
  • On the Bakhmut front: the Russians deployed tank and artillery of various calibres to fire on areas in and around Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Verkhnokamianske, Opytne, Rozdolivka, Soledar, Maiorsk and Yakovlivka;
  • On the Avdiivka front: the Russians deployed mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in the vicinity of Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Nevelske, Novomykhailivka and Pervomaiske (Donetsk Oblast);
  • On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts the Russians fired artillery on areas in and around 15 cities, towns and villages, including Bilohiria, Huliaipole and Dorozhnianka (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) and Vuhledar, Novosilka, Pavlivka and Prechystivka (Donetsk Oblast);
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front, 20 cities, towns and villages situated along the line of contact came under Russian fire.

The General Staff has confirmed information on Russia’s losses over the past several days. The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed eight pieces of military equipment and injured up to 120 military personnel in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Around 100 wounded Russian soldiers have been hospitalised on the temporarily occupied territories in Kherson Oblast.

The commanders of Russian occupation forces are doing everything they can to conceal Russia’s real losses from their military personnel in order to avoid widespread panic.

The so-called "evacuation" initiated by the Russian occupation regime continues apace on the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast. The Russians are taking medical equipment and property confiscated from what they call "nationalised" businesses with them.

For example, equipment from a local hospital in Bilozerka has been taken to the cities of Skadovsk and Henichesk. Meanwhile, Russia has deployed up to 1,000 additional conscripts in order to reinforce its forces on the right bank of the River Dnipro on the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast. The newly arrived soldiers have been housed in the homes of those local residents who had fled the area.

Ukrainian aircraft carried out 29 airstrikes on 27 October, striking 21 clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment, 3 strong points and 5 anti-aircraft defence systems. In addition, Ukrainian air defence forces struck down 2 Russian Ka-52 helicopters and a Su-25 attack jet.

Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck 4 areas where Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment were concentrated and 1 ammunition storage point.
