Quote from Orlov: "Currently, Enerhodar still remains without electricity and water. Regular shelling is preventing rapid emergency repair work.

Accordingly, people have been deprived of the opportunity to cook food for three days in a row."

Details: According to the mayor, the situation with drinking water in the city is getting worse.

Orlov emphasised that the Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly tried to deliver humanitarian aid including food, hygiene products, etc. to Enerhodar.

Furthermore, Ukraine is ready to organise the delivery and distribution of drinking water in Enerhodar, but the occupiers do not allow humanitarian aid to enter the city.

Orlov said that on the evening of 8 October, locals were making bonfires right next to their houses in order to prepare at least some hot food.

At the same time, he called on the residents of Enerhodar to be extremely careful when collecting dry branches for bonfires, because planted areas and forests could be mined.
