Zelenskyy holds staff meeting, brings up Armed Forces’ progress in south

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine held a regular meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Friday.

Details: Members of the Staff listened to reports by Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and commanders of troops on the operational fronts regarding the situation there. They devoted special attention to the developments on the southern front. 

The participants in the meeting also defined priority events for stabilising the situation in the newly liberated territories. 

Members of the Staff also discussed the effectiveness of the defence of energy infrastructure against Russian attacks and the restoration of facilities that were damaged by Russian strikes. 

The meeting was attended by: Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President; Oleksii Danilov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council; Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence; Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Kyrylo Budanov, the Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence; Oleksandr Lytvynenko, the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine; Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; and troop commanders of the various operational areas. 

The following people also joined the meeting this time: Denys Monastyrskyi, the Minister of Internal Affairs; Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Oleksandr Kubrakov, the Minister of Infrastructure; other members of the government and heads of law enforcement agencies and security services.

Zelenskyy last held the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on 9 November.
