Russian invaders evacuate local collaborators from Nova Kakhovka, Kherson Oblast

The Russian occupiers have started to evacuate local collaborators and their families from the occupied city of Nova Kakhovka in Kherson Oblast, which is located opposite the city of Beryslav.

Details: According to the National Resistance Center, members of Kherson’s occupation administration were informed on 11 November that they and their families would be evacuated from the city towards the Arabat Spit [in Russian-occupied Crimea] on Saturday [12 November].

Collaborators who worked at the Department of Labour and Social Policy of the Nova Kakhovka occupation administration are due to be evacuated together with their families. The occupiers have allocated two buses for this purpose.

Background:

On 11 November, the Russian Ministry of Defence stated that all occupation forces had withdrawn from Kherson Oblast and crossed to the left bank of the Dnipro River. The Ukrainian General Staff has contested this statement.

Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has confirmed that the city of Kherson is under Ukrainian control.
