Quote from Vershinin: "We discussed in detail what is happening in the Ukraine [sic], in Donbass [sic] and new regions of the Russian Federation. We tried to inform the Turkish side in as much detail as possible about the real situation on the ground, noting the absolutely aggressive behaviour of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and attacks on the civilian population of Donbas and other Russian [occupied – ed.] territories.

In this regard, it was important for us to convey to Turkey this situation, which, unfortunately, is deliberately distorted by the Western media.  Fake information is coming in large quantities."

Details: The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation added that the last round of negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine took place in Istanbul, and they ended with allegedly "aggressive and non-constructive behaviour of the Ukrainian side."

Vershinin stated that the Russians "are ready for discussion based on the goals that were declared during the "special military operation".
