Drone attack on Kyiv: 18 out of 23 Shahed UAVs shot down, no casualties reported

23 Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones attacked Kyiv on the morning of 19 December, and Ukrainian anti-aircraft defence has shot 18 of them down.

Quote: "23 enemy UAVs have been spotted in the sky over the capital during the air-raid. Our defence forces destroyed 18 drones."

Details: KCMA reported that drone fragments damaged the roadway in the Solomianskyi district, as well as shattered the windows of a high-rise building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city.

There is a hit to an infrastructure facility. Emergency services are dealing with the aftermath of the attack. There have been no reported casualties.

Background: Russian occupation forces attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones on the night of 18-19 December, 30 of which were destroyed by the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
