Ukraine’s Armed Forces hit two helicopters and two Russian command posts – General Staff report

During the day of 19 December, on the 299th day of the full-scale invasion by Russia, Ukrainian fighters carried out 17 airstrikes against the Russian military, shot down 2 helicopters, hit an ammunition storage point, 2 command posts and 2 clusters of Russian military personnel.

Details: As the General Staff states, during the day the Russian launched an airstrike and carried out 10 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems. In addition, the occupiers deployed 28 Iranian-made Shahed-136 attack UAVs, out of which 23 were shot down by Ukraine’s Armed Forces. Civilian infrastructure and population were affected as a result of Russian attacks.

During the day, Ukraine’s Air Force delivered 12 strikes on clusters of Russian military personnel and equipment and 5 strikes on the positions of the invaders' anti-aircraft missile systems.

On 19 December, Air Defence Forces shot down two Russian helicopters. Information about their models is currently being clarified.

During the day, Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery units struck an ammunition dump, two command posts and two clusters of Russian military personnel.

In the previous days, an ammunition storage point, about 15 units of military equipment of various types were destroyed, and more than 150 servicemen of the Russian occupation forces were injured in the areas of the cities of Berdiansk, Tokmak and Polohy, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Due to the significant losses of the invaders, the repurposing of hospitals in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk Oblast into military hospitals continues.

Thus, Luhansk Oblast Hospital, Luhansk City Multidisciplinary Hospital No. 15 and the Railway Hospital were handed over for use by the Russian occupation forces. The local population is refused service and suggested turning to other medical institutions.

The situation on the different fronts:

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts; there is no evidence that Russian forces are forming new offensive task forces.

On the Slobozhanshchyna front, the Russians deployed artillery to fire on Ukrainian positions in the areas of the settlements of Strilecha, Hlyboke, Vovchansk and Dvorichna in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, the invaders fired on areas in and around settlements of Kotliarivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove in Kharkiv Oblast; Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Chervonopopivka and Dibrova in Luhansk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts, the Russians continue to conduct assault operations; deployed tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery to fire on Ukrainian positions in the areas of 25 settlements, including Verkhnokamianske, Berestove, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Hryhorivka, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Kurdiumivka, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, the occupiers continue shelling from artillery of all types the areas of the settlements of Temyrivka, Chervone, Mali Shcherbaky and Plavni in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and the city of Kherson, where civilian infrastructure and people were again affected.
