Ukraine’s police shows Kherson being patched up following Russian attack

Work is ongoing on dealing with the aftermath of the 24 December Russian strikes on Kherson, which claimed the lives of 10 people. The police and rescuers are helping the residents to board the broken windows up with chipboard.

Quote from the police: "The police together with rescuers and the National Guard are helping the people in Kherson to deal with the aftermath of the attack on apartments and houses and to make the homes safe.

Details: Law enforcement officers posted photos where they are helping the residents to board windows up with chipboard to keep  apartments of Kherson residents warm and safe. 

The SES reported that on 24 December, they put out 11 fires that occurred following the Russian bombardment of the city.

 

On the afternoon of 24 December, a low-rise residential building was destroyed in Kherson in a Russian attack. Rescuers freed a man and a woman from under the rubble.

Sobolevskyi said that wounded residents are receiving necessary medical aid. Russian attacks on the city are ongoing on 25 December.
